The MAFP Foundation's mission is to:

• Support research activities in family medicine

• Establish and administer programs of continuing education for physicians in the medical specialty of family medicine

• Support activities which maintain the educational excellence of family physicians

• Support activities which encourage medical students interest in development of family medicine as their intended specialty in sufficient numbers to meet the family medicine needs in the State of Maine

• Support activities which enhance the educational preparation and training of prospective family physicians at the undergraduate and graduate levels
